After visiting the ghost town of La Porte Nebraska - I was researching more on the blizzards in the area that killed three of the former town's citizens - and came across an interesting and sad story - of the Children's Blizzard of 1888 - Not directly tied to the ghost town - but ultimately affected former towns across the Midwest.
